In our ongoing role as corporate architect, we assist Boston Pizza
International to evolve and define their brand which continues to be
synonymous with casual dining in Canada. Boston Pizza serves
customers through over 280 restaurants within the 10 provinces.

BROWNS SOCIAL HOUSE
In our continuing role as both corporate and regional architect for
the Browns Restaurant Group, a growing restaurant company in Metro Vancouver
with prime locations in Kitsilano, Yaletown, North and West
Vancouver, Langley, Richmond and elsewhere, we continue to
refine and bring to life our client's signature style.
In late 2008 Hearth completed its first Browns Social House in
Ironwood Plaza, Richmond BC. Subsequently, our relationship
has continued to flourish, with Hearth completing projects in West
Point Grey in Vancouver, Newport Village in Port Moody, Victoria and
Tsawwassen.
Currently there are two new Browns Social House locations in the
works and we are excited to be a part of the development team.
The first location is located near Brentwood Mall in Burnaby and the
second is at Panorama Place in Surrey.
Hearth also assists in on-going development within other existing
Browns locations.

career maternity clothes. We are proud to be involved in the
evolution and growth of this long established retail entity as their
Western Canada regional architect.

Triple O's
Completed Winter 2009
Triple O's is White Spot Restaurant's exciting new concept with
locations throughout western Canada. This project is the
conversion of an existing standalone, established restaurant near Metrotown into
a new White Spot Triple O's in their signature style.

Mountain Flatbread Company
Complete Spring 2009
Rocky Mountain Flatbread specializes in a unique approach to a
traditional favourite. With locations in Canmore, Alberta and
Vancouver, BC, the franchise is expanding to a flagship location in
the newly designed Lynn Valley Town Centre in North Vancouver BC.
Hearth also acts for Roky Mountain Flatbread Corporation.

Cat's Meow Restaurant
Status - Under Development 2009
The Cat's Meow was established in 2000 taking over the Granville
Island icon Isadora's. Since then the restaurant has
flourished in its own right. Now, under new ownership the
restaurant is slated for an update to re-establish its identity in
its prominent location.

Juice Zone International

Juice Zone and Cafe Fresh are an international franchise that is
headquartered in Langley, BC. In our role as corporate
architect, we assist in the development of the vision and prototype
for this well known food and beverage service chain.
We have recently contributed to and continue to work on locations as
diverse as Doha, Qatar, Maddi, Egypt, San Francisco and Iraq.

Luxury Townhomes - 18 unit Multi-Family
Construction Underway 2010
The mastermind developer behind Steveston's acclaimed London
Landing community development continues its vitalization of the
Richmond dyke east of the historic Steveston fishing village.
As the project continues to develop, it will maintain its core
sensitivity to the heritage values of the area, and respond and
complement the maturing fabric of this diverse neighbourhood.

Construction Underway 2010
This modest commercial building sit on a prominent corner in
Horseshoe Bay. One challenge was to undergo a reinvention of
the exterior expression while the current tenants remain in
business. Other challenges included finding an appropriate
response to the local character of buildings and the waterfront.

nieghbourhood, our client was committed to maintaining the turn of

Heritage Commercial Building
Construction Underway 2010
Historic Ladner is slowly undergoing a revitalization. Our
client has a long history in the community and would like to
respond to the strong local architectural vocabulary and very
particular place his site holds in the community. The
building in Westham Square will mark the gateway to the old village and will
hopefully become a focal point in an area where the historic
past colours and affects the current vitality.

Heritage Mixed-use Development
Status - In process with City of Richmond 2008
This mixed use project is located in historic Steveston Village,
Richmond, BC, and is an example of heritage revitalization. An
historic Church, recently a bicycle shop, is slated for commercial
development, including 5 units of market housing.
The developer is very experienced and active in the heritage
preservation and rejuvenation of Richmond, and the project continues
to unfold with sensitivity to its important location.

A stand alone commercial building in a highly visible location in
Central Tsawwassen has a new owner who is interested in bringing the
building up-to-date.
The design will tie the older building in with the recently
face-lifted Town Centre, and attract new attention to the long
standing tenant businesses.

We are currently working to convert over 3000 sq ft into a
comprehensive animal care facility in Vancouver. Our
clients are very experienced in providing excellent animal care,
and we are working closely with them to help expand their
growing enterprise.

Divers Lake, Nanaimo, BC
Intermediate Care Facility Expansion
Status - Completed 2007
Dwelling Place Intermediate Health Care Facility, the winner of a
City of Nanaimo Institutional Design Award, was looking to expand
the 16 bed facility into under-utilized areas of the existing
structure.
The design solution was a reorganization that led to three
additional beds and a staff area to better serve the existing
facility. |
